The pattern on the porcelain is named after the East Indiaman "Götheborg" which sank on September 12, 1745 just 900 meters from its home port in Sweden. The ship had been gone 30 months on its trip to Canton, China to buy tea, silk, spices and china. Most of the cargo was salvaged before the ship sank completely.
Longcoast Living is a reseller of East Indian porcelain from Simply Scandinavia. Simply Scandinavia manufactures as accurate reproductions of Chinese porcelain as possible, pots, jardinieres, vases, bowls and dishes in classic shapes.
