Longcoast Living is a retailer of porcelain from Simply Scandinavia, which is based on old models and manufactures them by hand, just as it was done in the past. The East India liner "Götheborg" sank on September 12, 1745, only 900 meters from its home port in Sweden. The ship had been gone 30 months on its trip to Canton, China to buy tea, silk, spices and china. Most of the cargo was salvaged before the ship sank completely and was later sold at auction in Gothenburg. Over the years, more of the precious cargo of porcelain has been salvaged and Simply Scandinavia has been inspired by several designs from the ship's cargo of East Indian porcelain.
